Opened Zac’s Place, a music club and restaurant on Georgia’s Lake Oconee, featuring hand cut steaks and made-from-scratch sauces & dressings.

Zac Brown Band bought their first tour bus, Oprah, and began touring full-time.
December 2004

Jimmy De Martini joined Zac as a violinist, fiddler and tenor vocalist. His first gig with Zac was at Sidelines Sports Grille in Atlanta, Ga where it wasn’t unusual for the band to play 3-4 hour sets.

Chris Fryar got a call asking to be the band’s drummer. The first time Sweets met Zac was at a festival in Birmingham, AL where he was playing with a different band.

Addition of bass guitarist Matt Mangano to the line-up. Hopkins expanded from his own role as bass guitarist to add other instruments in his arsenal such as six and seven-string guitars, baritone guitar, ukulele, double bass, and banjo. Mangano's first official show with ZBB was at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN.
